The Challenge
Transform Airtimes current Web app experience for purchasing gift cards into a vibrant native experience with the platform enhancing the current experience and allowing for a higher conversion rate for purchasing gift cards whilst not having a negative effect on the current conversion rate for other offers on the platform.
The data we used
We had data that a large amount of users do repeat purchases of gift cards on our app for a lot of retailers which allows them to receive rewards on our platform as well
What does success look like
Before starting any part of this design process, me and the project manager aligned on how success for the new gift card experience would be measured. We decided there would need to be business goals met and users goals also:
Business goals

• Help users earn more from gift cards
• increase in total revenue from gift cards
• exploration of more retailers for users
• Negative effects on the rest of our offers on the platform

Competitor analysis
for us competitor analysis is a critical part of this project because it shows me where we stand in the existing market. By closely examining what competitors are offering their strengths, weaknesses and strategies allows us to create a experience that would be beneficial to our customers.

Design Sprint
Before going into the design stage we had to make sure certain things were made clear from a design system stand point. We knew that the offer card could not be the same as the current offers on the platform.
A/B Test
A couple of iterations we tried was the hierarchy for the placement of gift cards. We knew that adoption might be low for gift cards if we left them in the extra's page like the rest of the propositions. For that reason we considered having A/B test with them in a stand alone component.
Time to build
After meetings with stakeholders and prototypes being created, it was then time to build the experience out with the engineers, whilst also working with marketing to make sure we can get the best level of adoption for the feature at hand.
